Ty and Katie

Photobucket

(sorry for some of the photos being cut off- as is the case with the one above)

You wouldn't believe the gorgeous day we had at the coast today! There were clear, blue skies since morning!
I shot Ty and Katie's wedding with assistance of lovely Laurent Hurt. We only had 6 hours scheduled to shoot, so we hustled across dunes, bridges and church stages to get all of our shots!

Anyhow, now that I am pregnant I am in dire need of an assistant to keep my equipment (along with keys, phone, et cetera) in check. It's amazing how this mommy-braid kicks in right around 3 months. ( : Lauren was simply a life saver out there today! I couldn't have done it without her!

Amusement

This is a before:

And an after:

I am posting some more shots from the Oaks Park shoot.

Rising

This is a shot I took a while back... sometimes I don't get to edit my favorite shots, because they are not what the client and contributors are looking for. I really enjoy this one though.

Stretched Art

I think I will make a set of these to match babies room. I will be making the blanket and padding next month, so I'll probably select some fabric to match. And then I can either paint or draw with black ink to create a wall set.

It's a GIRL!

The fourth photo reveals the sex of the baby! I love how the last one makes it look as if she were blowing bubbles ( : But that is actually part of her umbilical cord! Also, Jelani says she looks like a little frog in the first picture where she has her mouth open!

I can't believe that I was right about the baby being a girl! Jelani says it was a 50/50 chance, but it's still weird to have your intuition proved correct! Now that we know it's a girl, I'm hoping new inspirations will begin flowing for girl names! We'll see.

So far we can only agree on "Ella" as a partial name ( :

19 Weeks

I just moved up to 19 weeks today and have the belly to prove it. I am finally beginning to look pregnant ( : (not just bloated) and it's very exciting! Watching my friend Mellisa at her baby shower today, I found myself admiring her beautiful, round stomach. It's amazing to me that our bodies are capable of such change on the outside- I can't even imagine what kind of Will-wonka extravaganza's are take place inside!

Also, I am sooo excited to have the Gender Ultra Sound on the calender! Our appointment is scheduled for Thursday morning, so I will be posting specifics soon after!

Top Pics for Crib Bedding...

It's between these two... how can they be so expensive though? I've thought about making them myself, but I'm not sure I have the skills to make the padded edges and all that...

can be found at fawn&forest

I am just waiting for them to go on sale... I've got 5 months to go ( :

Old Cinema

These shots are from a series I did back in November or December. It felt like an adventure moving all of my equipment through the massive, echoing theater- one of the last in Portland to still use film reels. We tried to emphasize the setting, romanticizing the dusty rooms permanently perfumed with the smell of popcorn and sweat. Sam wore a bomber jacket to draw us back to a time when the theater was at it's hight in business: when folks still got dressed up to go the movies.

Anyhow, I never posted more than one or two from this series. So, here are a few more...
