Back To Work!

Back to work this winter and ready to update my book, my website, my blog... well, just about everything that has to do with my business!!!
I am starting off the year with an exciting shoot booked with the Bus Project, an exciting non-profit that focuses on enlightening young voters about politics.
We have a great team with Shannon Greenfield as art director, Jillian Rabe and Adam Edwards modeling, and me behind the camera! Our overall direction is youthful, fun and urban. I can't wait to see the final designs for the website and mailers ( :

Green Eyes

I woke up earlier than usual today and felt inspired by all the winter light pouring in through the windows. I decided to take some pictures of Ella and then on second thought, decided to do some self portraits as well.
Here are a couple shots that I played around with. You can see that I change my eye color in both. I will post the befores and afters.

Quick Update

I was sick all week last week with the stomach flu. I'm willing myself into wellness by the arrival Christmas, however!! While sick I managed to get all the last of our presents wrapped (with the hubbs help of course!) and now we are set for Christmas- all 3 of them!!

One tradition I wanted to incorporate for little Ella's sake is a Christmas story book about Jesus' birth. I haven't been out to the shops to look around yet and may just wait for them to go on sale afterward. If you have any suggestions, please leave your comment!

As far as photography goes, I plan to add some final touches to my fashion portfolio this January. I still hope to shoot for OMM and Mode. In the mean time I have found myself in rapture of my beautiful daughter. Here are some shots I took of her this month:

Winter Wedding Special!

This winter I find myself inspired to GIVE! It must be something to do with Christmas approaching, or the fact that my own cup of happy is overflowing. Like Mother Like Daughter

I finally found some of my old baby pictures. I only have a couple, but the one on the right is me at 8 months. Ella is on the left at 5 weeks.

Ella is Long and Lean

I didn't realize how long lean Ella is until I held her next to this little boy who is only 2 days younger than her. He ways a good pound more than her, but is definitely shorter. Strange, isn't it?

Ella's First Thanksgiving

This was little Ella's first Thanksgiving! While I don't think she was too impressed with anyone's cooking, she was a happy little clam to be ooohed and aaahed over all day and all night. She is a baby who LOVES to be held and today, let me tell you, she was not set down a moment!

Anyhow, this is the outfit she rocked last night... today she wore something similar, but the Gap skirt was replaced by similar jeans. She still had on her Cable Sweater and booties though.
Oh! And as a side note: I've never heard so many people tell me that she looks like her mama! Seems like she's growing to resemble me more and more each day ( :
