Senior Rep: Gabby Wolpert

Woohoo! We are sooo excited to add Gabby to our Elite group of Senior Reps. Gabby, a highly competitive swimmer, was like a fish IN water on our shoot last weekend. She gave us some fierce energy to work with and since it was perfectly overcast for our shoot (raining during her makeup application) we WORKED IT and came out with some of my fave shots yet!

I was sooo excited to finally receive an email from Janeane, requesting a promotional photo shoot. I have been dying to get our local Project Runway star behind my camera since our first project together. Quiet and sweet in all that she does, I strove to capture her serenity in her NW studio.

Surprise!
I have been promising a blog design overhaul for a few months now and ta-da! Here it finally is! To prepare for my Seniors Launch, next month I've been scouring for design inspirations and felt inspired to finally take on my regular blog! I hope you guys enjoy the new layout and color scheme!

Seniors Design, Blog and More!

So, the new Seniors Blog is up and running and while I would LOVE to have my seniors take a sneak peak, I am keeping the ribbon tied on the site until May 15th as well! You will notice that I have watermarked todays post with my new branding, created by Jelani Memory. I can't wait for you to see the rest of his designs incorporated into both new sites and all our new products.
The launch of my new site and blog represents a brand new beginning and opportunity for Portland's high school students. I hope to break out of the boring mold that has been Senior Portraits into something more daring, more bold and definitely fashion forward.
I can't wait for the class of 2011 to experience what Lavenda Seniors refers to as "the model experience". We are waiting to book you for a personalized, outdoor shoot, a professional, camera friendly makeup application and an experience you will find nowhere else!

Alison on Lavenda Seniors

The transition from Fashion to Seniors has been a fun journey so far! I have recruited several young faces (both from the fashion world and out) such as my good friend, Alison to demo a few shoots for my new Seniors Site. Along with my featured, Senior Reps, I will be posting some key demos to give my Seniors a good sense of what I'm trying to capture. The first words that come to mind are FUN, FASHIONABLE and CANDID.

Seniors Site and More!!!

I am happy to report that the new designs for my Seniors site are coming along nicely. We finally settle on a fun, bright color pallet and logo! I will post some sneak peaks next week ( :
While the technical aspects seem to be a much more arduous process than I had anticipated, the demos and the Seniors gear have been fun, fun, fun to search for and purchase.
Here is a look at the Makeup-chair I purchased for Alisia. This portable chair is just the right height for easy makeup application. (: I have placed the order for most of my demos and am excited to get back to you on the outcome!
