My little sister Katie came up this weekend and hung out with my and J. We decided to take a try at bowling, though besides Jelani, none of us have played for years. I am proud to say that come second round- Katie and I had J beat!!!! Blood is thick than water, isn't that what they say? Haha. Anyhow, we played double or nothing and lost ) :

Making Friends

I have been surprised by the photographer's community here in Portland. After living her more than 3 years, my list of good friends (or any friends for that matter) has always remained sparse.

These past couple of months, as I have stretched myself and watched my network continue to grow, that has changed. I've discovered a pool of intriguing artists including makeup artists, hair stylists and models who have surprised me with their openness and kindness. I have found friends who don't fit into any one mold, such as mothers, struggling artists, dreamers and last- wanderers (like myself).

I find myself feeling very close to people with whom I've only discussed colors and wardrobe. I have found that bonding sometimes only needs such layers.
