Modeling agent: Milan and Paris fashion houses 'absolutely don't want black girls'
Naomi Campbell's former agent has harsh words for the fashion industry.
Premier Model Management founder Carole White told theDaily Mail that many of today's leading names in fashion "absolutely don't want black girls."
She spoke bluntly, stating that in her experience, many of today's leading magazines, photographers and booking agents overwhelmingly shy away from booking nonwhite women for high-end jobs.
It's a problem she says stems back to elite fashion houses in Milan and Paris.
"A black model has to be a real star before you can take her there," she said. "They only take a black girl when the biz is buzzing about her."
