Belly Time

Second shot by Q. I like this one more because it's so simple ( : I was only 36 weeks in this photo, but this Saturday I will be 40 weeks!!! That means I'll be full term, can you believe it??
The doctor says my body is ready to have her any time, but who knows when that will be exactly? That was 3 days ago and I still don't "feel" any different... haven't had any positive intuitions.
I always heard that the end was the worst part and only now do I realize that it's not due to pain or discomfort, but the anxiety of WAITING! I know I'm supposed to stay relaxed, so my relaxation slash distraction strategy begins tomorrow! (Think: shopping, nesting, cleaning- and not necessarily in that order!)

Sara Seven: Before And After

Photobucket

Sara Seven Shoot
Models left to right: Caitlin, Megan, Anna
Makeup: Madi
Hair: Austie

This is a great before and after shot because there are so many subtle elements to change. First their is lighting.
Since we were limited in both time and space to shoot (we were shooting in a Hotel where guests were walking past the entire shoot) we had to get what we could at the time and it was left to me to add in light in post-work. In this shot you may notice that I "lit" Caitlin 40% afterward. This allows for a better view of both the model and the dress.
In addition to post- lighting I had to create more clean lines on all of the models.
You will notice in the close up of Caitlin that I created more angles in her face, neck and arms. Again, this was done to all three of the girls.
The more obvious processing are the color curves, which add a different mood to the shot. Sara prefers these subtle curves, with green and blue undertones.

Bright Idea

When we first decided to paint out house, the first question Jelani posed was, "can it not be green?" Caylan and Travis Wagar, our amazingly talented, painterly friends dropped off some color samples for us to skim through. After an entire 15 collective minutes I decided on "bright idea" as the color for our living room. Here is a picture of our new living area:

While I don't remember the name of our bedroom and newly painted bathroom, I think we all agreed that it is quite bright. It seems to cheer things up quite a bit.

Anyhow, thanks so much Caylan and Travis, for all your help and master rolling skills. Love you guys.
