To Be Announced

Patience. This is what my husband teaches me.

I recently stumbled across an idea (to be announced!) for a business expansion (photography, of course) and per my usual status, became FRANTIC to set everything up right away. My extremely bright, better half interrupted my doomed pace with some logical inquiries and advice. So, here's the deal:
I WILL be updating and revamping my blog. I WILL be launching an additional site. And lastly, I WILL be rebranding my photo business.
Unfortunately, none of this will occur until I have met all of my short and long-term goals on the -literal- business side of the business. My current time line for this expansion is:

March 21: Print Fliers
April 1: Develop New Brand
May 1: Launch New Site

With this 3 month timeline, I hope to reign in and refine some of this creative energy. As you may have noticed, I have not announced what this expansion entails, but no worries! It's on the calendar ( :

Your Ellections are showing...

The Bus Project will be using up to 4 images from our shoot for the election campaign. Some 30,000 mailers will be going out with the "Your Election is Showing" message and full spread ads can be found in both the Willamette Weekly and the Portland Tribune this week.
It was so much fun working with Jillian and Adam, super trooper models (baring all despite the cold) and the creative director, Shannon, who's fine design skills can be seen on the final mailer. The craziest part is that the shoot, processing and design were all executed in less that 24 hours!! All in the name of VOTING!!
I hope to hear back from The Bus Project about future projects. Till then... Let's sharpen our pencils and get ready to vote!

Back To Work!

Back to work this winter and ready to update my book, my website, my blog... well, just about everything that has to do with my business!!!
I am starting off the year with an exciting shoot booked with the Bus Project, an exciting non-profit that focuses on enlightening young voters about politics.
We have a great team with Shannon Greenfield as art director, Jillian Rabe and Adam Edwards modeling, and me behind the camera! Our overall direction is youthful, fun and urban. I can't wait to see the final designs for the website and mailers ( :

Green Eyes

I woke up earlier than usual today and felt inspired by all the winter light pouring in through the windows. I decided to take some pictures of Ella and then on second thought, decided to do some self portraits as well.
Here are a couple shots that I played around with. You can see that I change my eye color in both. I will post the befores and afters.
